Scott is a Registered Introducing Broker with ADM Investor Services. He has provided farm marketing expertise to farmers throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio since 1987. He has also merchandised grain and managed large grain facilities for the past thirty years.Scott is actively involved in merchandising, hedging, rail and truck logistics, grain origination, and risk management for farmers, grain elevators, ethanol facilities, and livestock producers throughout the Midwest. Scott specializes in risk management through using cash prices, futures, and options strategies for grain, livestock, and bioenergy markets.One example is he currently provides hedging and options strategies for grain producers and also provides operations management assistance to Coshocton Grain, and has since 1993. He has provided merchandising, hedging, rail, and truck logistics expertise in addition to grain origination expertise via direct contact with Coshocton Grain and Coshocton Grain’s larger farm clients.While at Merchants Grain, Scott was the manager of the Jeffersonville, IN, facility responsible for merchandising all inbound rail and outbound barge traffic. As the Eastern Region Merchandiser for Merchants Grain, Scott merchandised all grain for three facilities in Ohio and Indiana.As Grain Merchandising Coordinator for The Andersons, Inc., Scott was responsible for coordinating all truck, rail, and vessel merchandising for corn, soybeans, wheat, and oats for all four Andersons facilities merchandising approximately 250,000,000 bushels with storage of approximately 40,000,000 bushels. He also served as the central hedger managing daily hedge operations for all four Andersons facilities. As Grain Purchasing Manager, he managed a staff of seven grain buyers and support staff responsible for origination of 100,000,000 bushels of grain to Maumee and Toledo facilities. |
